Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit then Add Widget, search for Countie, choose a size and tap Add Widget.

Touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, then Lock Screen. Tap the widget area below the clock and choose Countie.

Touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget. Set Show to Next Upcoming (it follows your nearest event) or Chosen Countdowns and pick the ones you want.

Open the countdown, then tap Adjust for Widgets under Background. Pick Small or Medium, drag to move and pinch to zoom, then tap Done and Save.

Eight hours before an event starts, Countie shows a live countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, for your three nearest events. iOS limits a Live Activity to eight hours, so this way it always runs right up to the start.

In Countie, touch and hold the countdown and tap Show on Lock Screen. This is available when the event is less than eight hours away.

Open Settings › Countie and make sure Live Activities is turned on.

Countie only reminds you about events that aren’t already showing on one of your widgets, at 9:00 on the day (or at the event’s time, if it has one). Check that notifications are allowed in Settings › Countie › Notifications.

Unlimited countdowns (the free version includes five upcoming countdowns) and photo backgrounds. iCloud sync is coming in a future update. Pro is a one-time purchase: no subscription and no ads.

Open Countie, tap the ⓘ button, then Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro.

Nothing is deleted or hidden. Your countdowns and photos keep working in the app and in every widget. You just can’t add more than five upcoming countdowns or new photos until Pro is unlocked again.
